BrowserGamesTop ("the site", "we", "us") is a community-run toplist for online browser games. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site, register an account, submit a game listing, or vote, and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account data - when you register we store the email and username you provide, plus a hashed (never plaintext) version of your password.
Game submission data - names, URLs, descriptions, tags, banner images and any callback URL you configure for your listing. This data is public once your listing is approved.
Voting data - IP addresses and short-lived cookies are recorded each time a vote is cast so we can enforce the 24-hour cooldown and prevent fraud.
Traffic data - anonymous page-view events, visitor browser type and country (derived from the IP address) for site analytics. We do not store full user-agent strings beyond 300 characters and do not link traffic data to your account.
Contact form submissions - name, email and message you send via the contact page.

Cookies & similar technologies

Session cookies keep you logged in between visits.
An anonymous visitor ID is stored in your browser to deduplicate analytics events.
Ad-network cookies may be set by our advertising partners (Google Ads) to deliver and measure ads.

The site uses the following third-party services that may receive or process information about your visit:

Google Analytics / Google Ads - page-view analytics and conversion measurement.
Cloudflare - content delivery, DDoS protection and country-code detection from your IP.
Google AdSense - display advertising; ad-network cookies may be set to deliver and measure ads.
PayPal - payment processing for Premium and Featured listings; we never see your card details.
ip-api.com / ipwho.is - free public IP-to-country lookup for the analytics dashboard.

Aggregate anonymous traffic statistics in the admin dashboard.

Data retention & deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated listings at any time via the contact form. Vote and traffic records are stored only as long as needed for fraud detection and aggregated analytics. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties beyond the service providers listed above.

Every game on the list is ranked by real player votes, so the games at the top are the ones their communities actively support. You can play everything listed here in your web browser: no downloads, no installers, and most games are free to start.

About BrowserGamesTop

We built BrowserGamesTop for players who miss the classic era of browser gaming, when you could find a great text-based RPG, mafia game or strategy MMO on a toplist and be playing a minute later. Each listing has a description written by the developer, screenshots, categories and a direct link to the game, so you can judge a game before you sign up.

Games are sorted into categories such as mafia games, RPG, strategy, MMO, idle and text-based games. Every new listing is reviewed by our team before it appears, which keeps broken links, copies and low-quality pages off the toplist.

How the Toplist Works: A Guide for Players

Browse the rankings. The homepage shows the highest-voted games first. Open a category to find games in the genre you like.
Read the game page. Every game has its own page with a full description, screenshots, tags and a Play button.
Vote for your favourite. You can vote once every 24 hours for each game. Many games reward you inside the game for voting, for example with extra turns, cash or items.
Discover something new. Some games have a "Discover another browser game" button that takes you to another game in our Game Traffic Exchange.

Guide for Game Developers

If you run a browser game, listing it on BrowserGamesTop is free. Create an account, submit your game with a description, logo and screenshots, and wait for approval. Once it's live you get a personal vote link to put in your game.

Vote rewards: add a callback URL and we notify your server every time a player votes, so you can reward them automatically.
Game Traffic Exchange: a 1:1 player swap. Every real player you send to another game earns you a credit, and each credit sends one new player to your game. Every approved game can join for free.
Premium and Featured listings: optional upgrades that give your game more visibility on the toplist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the games on BrowserGamesTop free?

Yes. Every game on the toplist can be started for free in your browser. Some games offer optional paid extras, which the developer explains on their own site.

How often can I vote?

Once every 24 hours per game. Votes are checked for bots and repeat voting, so the rankings reflect real players.

Why didn't my game reward me for voting?

Rewards are sent by the game itself. Make sure you clicked the vote link from inside the game while logged in, so the game knows which account to reward.

How do I get my game listed?

Register an account, open "Submit a game" and fill in the details. We review every submission, usually within a few days.

What does "Premium" mean on a listing?

Premium games paid to support the site and get a gold highlight and extra features. Rankings themselves are always based on votes.

Any tips for finding a good game?

Check the categories, read the description and screenshots, and look at how many recent votes a game gets. An active vote count usually means an active community.

Recent Updates

Game Traffic Exchange is now free for every game. Free games earn up to 10 credits a day, Premium games earn unlimited credits, and new members get 10 starter credits.

Renamed games keep their links. When a developer renames a game, old links and vote links redirect to the new address automatically.
