Privacy Policy

BrowserGamesTop ("the site", "we", "us") is a community-run toplist for online browser games. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site, register an account, submit a game listing, or vote, and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account data — when you register we store the email and username you provide, plus a hashed (never plaintext) version of your password.
• Game submission data — names, URLs, descriptions, tags, banner images and any callback URL you configure for your listing. This data is public once your listing is approved.
• Voting data — IP addresses and short-lived cookies are recorded each time a vote is cast so we can enforce the 24-hour cooldown and prevent fraud.
• Traffic data — anonymous page-view events, visitor browser type and country (derived from the IP address) for site analytics. We do not store full user-agent strings beyond 300 characters and do not link traffic data to your account.
• Contact form submissions — name, email and message you send via the contact page.

Cookies & similar technologies

• Session cookies keep you logged in between visits.
• An anonymous visitor ID is stored in your browser to deduplicate analytics events.
• Ad-network cookies may be set by our advertising partners (Adsterra) and Google Ads to deliver and measure ads.

Third-party services

The site uses the following third-party services that may receive or process information about your visit:

• Google Analytics / Google Ads — page-view analytics and conversion measurement.
• Cloudflare — content delivery, DDoS protection and country-code detection from your IP.
• Adsterra — display and native advertising. Ads may set their own cookies; you can disable them in the admin panel — and individual users can dismiss the side-banner ad at any time.
• PayPal — payment processing for Premium and Featured listings; we never see your card details.
• ip-api.com / ipwho.is — free public IP-to-country lookup for the analytics dashboard.

How we use your data

• Authenticate your account and let you manage your listings.
• Display your public game listings and reviews.
• Detect and prevent vote fraud.
• Aggregate anonymous traffic statistics in the admin dashboard.
• Reply to messages you send through the contact form.

Data retention & deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated listings at any time via the contact form. Vote and traffic records are stored only as long as needed for fraud detection and aggregated analytics. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties beyond the service providers listed above.
